education is time is money is time
by Sloan

my years in undergad are nearing their end
i wish i could have majored in everything
or at least dabbled
it seems unfair
pick one thing at eighteen
a decision people will make split judgements about for the rest of your life
they do this on purpose
to keep us striving
grasping
reaching for meaning
we end up worn, putting money in place of meaning
why cant i learn everything
wouldn’t that be a great benefit
or would it take far too much time for their liking
i wish i could have learned about rocks and space and math and chemistry and world history
and philosophy and art
sadly, i will be graduating soon
and time will be filled—
occupied
with grasping
